Located just twenty miles south of Edinburgh, Innerleithen is easily accessible by car and bus, with train connections also available.
From Edinburgh and points north by car
Head south to Peebles via the A703, then take the A72 to Innerleithen at the BP roundabout. Or, for a more scenic drive, take the A7 through Dalkeith from the city bypass, then take the B7007 south. This will become the B709 and lead you right to the heart of Innerleithen. The journey time in either case is about an hour. |

Moffat is located just off the A74. From there, a scenic route along the A708 will take you past the Grey Mare's Tail waterfall, St. Mary's Loch and the Loch of the Lowes, and through Yarrowdale. To reach Innerleithen, turn onto the B709 at the Gordon Arms Hotel, where it intersects the A708. You'll reach the town via the stunning hills around Mountbenger and the village of Traquair.
